Why should I choose your apartment?

Our apartment is ideally located, as close as possible to the beach and the port. Close to hand you have safe swimming and snorkelling, bars and restaurants in the port, a zoo, two stately homes / gardens, and many other attractions.
The apartment is bright and clean, on the first floor with a lift and air-conditioning.

How far is it from the airport?

19 km (12 miles) which typically takes ½ hour, a little more at peak times.

Where do I collect my key?

Usually the caretaker will meet and greet you on arrival, you can arrange a time with her in advance by telephone or email, or we will do that for you. Let her know if you are delayed significantly. Alternatively in certain circumstances, we can send you a key in advance.

How do I find the apartment?

Detailed directions will be sent to you in advance in a visitor information pack, but it is very simple. From Nice airport follow the coast road east till you see Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat signs, then follow the sign to Saint Jean Le Port.

What deposit do I pay?

20% is payable at time of reservation with the balance payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.

Security deposit?

A security deposit of €150 (or £100) should be paid to the caretaker on arrival. This is refundable in full when the apartment has been checked over at departure. Damage or missing articles will be chargeable.

Do you allow smoking?

We ask our guests to refrain from smoking in the apartment. We strive to keep the apartment in top condition, so that guests will enjoy it as much as we know you will. Many guests prefer a smoke free environment and this is why we ask you not to smoke. Two balconies at the front and a rear access terrace may be used for smoking.

Are towels and linen provided?

Necessary towels and bed linen are provided but you will need to bring or hire your own beach towels. Laundering of bed linen and towels during and at the end of your stay is your responsibility. Washing and drying machines are provided. Alternatively you can arrange a full “clean and launder” service by the caretaker, guide price €50 payable locally on arrival.

Cleaning on departure?

It is the responsibility of the guest to clean the apartment before departure to be ready for the next guest. Alternatively you can arrange a full “clean and launder” service by the caretaker, guide price €50 payable locally on arrival.

Is there a telephone in the apartment?

Yes there is a telephone from which you can call emergency services. To make other outgoing calls you can purchase a telephone card at the Tabac nearby. You can receive incoming calls from worldwide.
If you wish to receive calls from the UK at very low cost to the caller visit Money Saving Expert and print out access codes which will enable callers to call you for 1 p / min or less.

Is there TV or radio equipment?

There is a small television with integral video tape player. This receives French transmissions only. There is also a radio / CD player, and several English language programmes are available.

What if there is a problem during my stay?

The caretaker is available evenings and sometimes at other times to assist you, telephone numbers will be provided.

What shops are available?

Turn right out of the apartment entrance, walk 200 yards and you have a supermarket with long opening hours. Various other local shops also in the village.

What restaurants are available?

Walk down to the port, 70m and you will find 20-30 various, delightful restaurants. Cards from some favourites are pinned to the notice board. Two of my favourites are: Le Skipper Tel 04 93 76 01 00 and Capitaine Cook Tel: 04 93 76 02 66

What are check-in and departure times?

The apartment is usually available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. It may be possible to vary these, subject to other bookings ~ you can discuss this with the caretaker.

Is a childs cot available?

Yes a child’s cot is available for a service charge of €10.00 (£7.00) payable at time of booking.
